Winter Trends

It seems strange to be speaking about autumn already but it is official, we have moved from summer to autumn, and while we all try our hardest to cling on to those last days of sunshine, the temperatures are dropping, the days are getting shorter, and the nights are drawing in.

Before we know it, we will be in the thick of winter and heading full speed into Christmas, but before we totally put you into panic mode, let’s get back to our favourite subject – HAIR!

It is a new season, and with that comes a bunch of new hair styles and trends, so we are going to look at a few of these in more detail.

The Blunt Bob

It is harsh and it is on trend, so if you are gutsy and want something new, then this is the one for you. ‘Lobs’ have been all the rage recently, but as we head through autumn and into winter, we are seeing the bob coming back to the forefront of hair styling. Currently wearing this style, after her break-up from Nick Jonas is the gorgeous Olivia Culpo.

The Slicked Back Bob

If you have already had the bob cut but fancy another way to style it, how about the slick back bob? Watch out for this one, as it will be right at the top of the winter trends lists, and for sure will be making appearances at all the award ceremonies. It is easy to create, easy to manage and easy to remove.

Here is Olivia Culpo again just to show that you can go from traditional to slick!

Partly Braided Ponytail

Now if you have length (or extensions), how about this for a neat style that is a little quirky? Everyone with hair long enough loves to put it in a ponytail at the first opportunity, but this partly braided version offers something a little bit different. We are fully expecting this to become the style of the season, so get practicing!

Half Up Half Down

We cannot have a section on trendy hair styles without the trendsetter herself Kim Kardashian. When it comes to half up and half down, nobody wears it better than Kim. Just ‘bump’ the tips of your hair with a curling iron to bring this style into the modern era.

If you want to try some of these styles out why not book in an appointment with us and get set for the new season.
